Hello! My name is Julie Cutelli. I am an American special educator, therapist, and artist living in Paris.
I am committed to working with children, teenagers and adults through art therapy and am excited and to bring my services to you in your own home. I specialize in working with children on the autistic spectrum, children who have learning differences, and new language learners.
I have my masters degree in Art Therapy from the Université René Descartes with my thesis centering on the creation of a new art therapy for children on the autism spectrum based on the theories of psychoanalysis and theory of mind. I also have my masters in Special and Inclusive education from the University of Nottingham, with my thesis centered on how art integrated teaching can engage students with learning differences and second language learners and foster literacy skills.
I have worked in international primary school and secondary school settings for the past seventeen years as a classroom teacher, a counselor, an EAL teacher, and a learning specialist at the International School of Paris, the British Council, American School of Paris, and the Italian School of Paris. I am a member of the European Federation of Art Therapists and the French Federation of Art Therapists, and a former board member of the French Federation of Art Therapists. Thanks to these different stages and groups in my life, I have had experiences with people of all abilities in all kinds of settings. I cannot wait to meet you!

Bonjour ! Mon nom est Julie Cutelli. Je suis une citoyenne du monde qui est professeur, thérapeute, et artiste !
J’ai plus de dix-sept ans d’expérience en tant que thérapeute et éducatrice auprès des enfants dans les hôpitaux, les écoles, et les centres médico-psychologiques.
Je pratique l’art thérapie avec les enfants, les adolescents et les adultes.
Je suis diplômée en éducation spécialisée et en art thérapie. J’ai reçu mon diplôme d’art-thérapie de l’Université René Descartes où mon mémoire abordait le sujet : “La Création d’une thérapie à médiation artistique pour enfants autistes basée sur les théories de psychanalyse et la théorie de l’esprit.” En 2019, j’ai reçu mon master en éducation spécialisée de l’Université de Nottingham en Angleterre, et ma thèse s’adressait à comment utiliser l’art comme outil pour enseigner l’alphabétisation et développer de l’engagement et des capacités de communication chez des enfants ayant des difficultés d’apprentissage et ceux qui apprennent l’anglais comme langue étrangère.
En plus d’être thérapeute, j’ai travaillé comme psychologue scolaire, psychopédagogue, et professeur de l’anglais et professeur d’arts plastiques au sein des institutions internationales comme International School of Paris, American School of Paris, British Council, et L’école Italienne de Paris. Je suis un membre active accrédité de la Fédération Française des Arts Thérapeutes et un membre de la Fédération Européenne des Arts Thérapeutes. Grâce aux étapes différentes de ma vie, j’ai pu avoir des expériences riches avec des gens de capacités différentes dans toutes sortes de contextes.
